You may ask yourself, "why should I recycle?"

Plastic waste is everywhere: lakes, oceans, rivers, beside the road, landfills, etc. Plastic waste is not biodegradable and is wreaking massive havoc on our environment. Each American generates 185 pounds of plastic waste annually! The USA alone has manufactured 18.2 billions pounds since the 1950s. Unfortunately, less than 10% of plastic is ever recycled. The plastic epidemic must end.

Corporations recycle some of the plastic they produce, but the machinery required is large and expensive. Thus, small communities or households could not recycle independently. That was before Dave Hakkens, founder of Precious Plastics, decided to make a change. He designed a line of machines that enable small scale productions for recycling plastic. These machine blueprints are available completely free and opensource on his website.

Here, we are actively trying to improve our environment and communities. We want to make these machines available to the public so that anyone and everyone can recycle. If we're going to see a positive change in our world, we all have to work together! We've only got one planet, so we've got to take care of it.

Our goal is to see plastic recycling communities all over the world! We understand that not everyone has the capabilities to build these machines on their own, that's where we come in!

We are located in Southeast Kansas.

A bit about us

Hello! We are Jacob and Kiley Green. When we heard about Precious Plastic, we knew we had to join in the movement. For us, Precious Plastic North America is more than just a business, it's an intentional effort to better the world, for ourselves and future generations.

We live in Fredonia, which is a small town in Southeast Kansas. We dream of one day having a home (or community) that will be completely self sustaining. We both have big dreams and can't wait to see what the future holds. We're hoping to start a vlog soon to capture our adventures through life. So keep your eyes peeled for "The Green House."

We've been very blessed to be a part of the Precious Plastic community. Our journey thus far has exceeded our expectations. Since opening in July 2018, we've sold over 55 units! We're looking to grow and build relationships and connections with other like-minded individuals. Feel free to reach out to us and share your story!
